Why Buying A Brand New Car Is Easier For Your Budget

Driving a brand new car off a car lot can leave you feeling excited and maybe a little nervous, but overall it is typically a great feeling. If you are about to purchase a new car and aren't sure whether to choose a brand new one or a used one, you may want to consider all the benefits of new cars. As you do this, keep in mind that one major benefit of buying a brand new car is that you will be able to budget your car repairs and maintenance much easier than if you had purchased a used car. Here are three reasons why this is true:

The Warranty

New cars always come with warranties, and you may even have the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty. The nice part about new-car warranties is that they typically cover almost any problem you may have with your vehicle, with the exception of standard car maintenance.

When purchasing a used car, you may get a warranty; however, it will generally be shorter and have less coverage. In addition, a warranty on a used car will never include coverage for normal car maintenance.

The Warranty Affects Overall Payments

If you take a three-year loan on a new car, you can be assured that you will never have to spend a dime on anything that may go wrong with the car during this time because of the warranty. This includes air conditioning problems, transmission issues, and problems with the engine.

If you take a three-year loan on a used car, your payments might be lower; however, if something breaks, you may have to pay for the repairs, depending on the warranty coverage. Imagine if the transmission went out a year after buying the car. Replacing a transmission can cost $1,800 to $3,500, which is a big chunk of change.

In other words, if you have a new car, you will only have to make your monthly payments, and you will never incur car repair expenses. With a used car, you will also have your monthly payments, but you could also have hefty car repair bills to pay.

This Never Includes Maintenance

No matter what type of car you purchase, you will have standard maintenance to complete. This includes replacing the tires and brakes, and getting regular oil changes. The only difference with a new and used car is that new cars will need less maintenance during the first few years of ownership.

There are many other benefits of buying new cars, and you may want to examine all these before making your purchase. To learn more, visit a car dealer in your area today.

About Me

Stocking Up on Automotive Supplies

My husband doesn’t spend much time indoors. This caring man would rather be outside working on one of our four automobiles. While my spouse doesn’t like to shop for clothes or groceries, he absolutely adores shopping for automotive supplies. Whenever he’s working on a vehicle, he doesn’t want to stop in order to drive into town to buy a car part. Do you enjoy maintaining your vehicles at home? Consider starting a stockpile of automotive items at your house. For instance, you might wish to purchase a windshield repair kit, motor oil, oil filters, antifreeze, and windshield washer fluid. On this blog, I hope you will discover how much fun shopping for automotive supplies can be. Enjoy!
